BEAUTY BREAKS THE DAWN

FROST caught up with Stine for a chat about what summer means to her, how to create magical memories in good company and with good ingredients, and how we can all bring a little piece of the island life to the north.

Nature is where I feel most at peace. Life becomes so simple—starting a fire, cooking food, getting water, picking berries, and waking up to my morning matcha feeling soothed and sharp. It’s grounding, and I love how present I feel in those moments. Check out THE MATCHA EDIT for my favorites on the island!

It’s been a week since returning from my scandi summer—the coldest to date brrr! I’m grateful to be back on the island for the highs of summer. My first week has been a bit of a whirlwind after catching a cold, and I’ve been leaning into indulgent beverages and soothing rituals, including my ice roller and favorite cloud matcha. Thanks to jet lag and a sore throat, I’ve been up before the sun—which means cool morning walks and cozy nights in. I love the effortless rhythm and stillness of the island in summer before seasons change.

Summer means longer days, and I’ve filled them with family time (it’s my grandparents’ 67-year wedding anniversary today <3), baking, mindful movement, and snuggles with my cute furball. Back with me, I brought my favorite Dôen and Envelope1976 dresses, my sleepers, local treats, matcha, chocolate (iykyk), and body balm from Rudolph Care—infused with organic, nourishing ingredients. Beeswax gives the balm a full, rich and soft consistency with a butter-like texture that melts into the skin as soon as it meets the heat of your body. I’m also stocking up on LESSE during their annual sale this weekend. Back in the heat, I could spritz the Regeneration Mist all day—and I do.
